EaglesRest Kitchen Make-over
It soon became obvious that the old store room was not a hygienic or at all suitable place for meals to be prepared for the children who live at the church. It had always been the pastor’s wife’s dream to have a real kitchen in the room, somewhere she could teach the girls to bake and prepare meals without the need to trudge between the main house and the children’s quarters in all weathers.
When a donation came in enabling us the freedom to put it to any need we saw fit, the kitchen became our focus.
It took many weeks and almost twice as much as the original budget figure, but we were finally able to bless the family and children with this beautiful and functional kitchen. The YWAM team joined us for two days in all that time. The majority of work was done by the Pastor’s own family and Rommel.
The children now enjoy meals prepared in the new kitchen and Naw is thrilled with her new work area!
