'The Healing Road to Thailand:
Grace Bounds' is an honest and raw account of one woman's journey
through a difficult time in her life. It has the highs and the
lows but most importantly it reveals God's unrelenting pursuit
of His love relationship with Janene and then in reading - each
of us.
Janene, the author, is honest,
not only about her journey and the facts, but about her feelings
during that time. There is no 'pulling punches' it is a true
and revealing story that expresses everything that Janene felt
and thought.
I was captured by Janene's
relationships with others, how she portrayed and defined them
and how she worked through those relationships. The good and
the bad are all there but they are there not just to be honest
but show us redemption. As Janene lays out her 'Road' there is
a constant underlying story of her redemption, through the pain,
the suffering, the joy, the provision, the fun and the adventure
there is deliverance. God is at work molding and changing Janene
to make her a vessel worthy of service.
I enjoyed Janene's journey
though Rwanda and the Congo - I was there with her seeing it
and feeling it. The description of the bus journey and the sights,
sounds and smells put me there.
'The Healing Road to Thailand:
Grace Bounds' helped me to see Janene in a new light and begin
to understand that God is never finished with us, that He never
lets us go and that He always loves us.
